Candy Kennedy has just shot this fantastic series for A Decent Idea Magazine.

Shooting for a whopping 17 hours straight to get all images done, this was Candys first shoot for the magazine, but with her and Guillaumes creative partnership, it will definitely not be her last . Styling was done by Guillaume and Chrystel. Make up by Kate Goodwin and Hair by Shin. Models incl Marius from Cape Town, Clint from Dubai and Bronx, Linda and Gabriella from Bareface.

Bareface photographer Martin Beck recently volunteered his time for charity “Frontline Fashion” in aid of the Haiti disaster earlier this year. Dubai resident Melissa Gilchrist Higgins set up the charity to raise money for this needy cause.

Martin worked with Bareface hair & make up artist Kat Sumners and 5 of our Bareface models also gave up their time.

Social Change through the power of sport

In September, Katarina Premfors got together with “photographers for hope” again, this time in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. A group formed to use the power of images to support positive social change. They are a group of photographers from all over the world who want their passion for photography to tell stories that will inspire action, create change and foster a stronger global community. One of the main reasons they picked Rio was because of the Homeless World Cup which took from 19th – 26th September. In collaboration with the UN Office on Sport for Development and Peace, the Brazilian branch of the Sport for Social Change Network, and Nike Brazil, this group oh photographers also worked with local NGOs that are harnessing the power of sports to promote healthier, safer and better communities across Rios; metropolitan area. These projects are having major impact on the lives of those living in one of the worlds most diverse, colourful and disparate cities.

The exhibition of images shot by the Photographers for Hope in Barzil is now showing at UEFA in Nyon – and displaying sports transforming power.

Katarina Premfors has returned to Dubai after a summer of traveling and photographing. Her blog http://katarinapremfors.wordpress.com depicts her old hometown of Istanbul with stories and photographs where she went to soak up the creative air from the many events of “European City of Culture 2010″. Her never before exhibited photograph ‘Spearfisherman’ from her ‘Human Nature Observed’ series will be auctioned at ‘The Big Ball Charity’ in Dubai. The charity proceeds will benefit UNICEF, Storytellers & The Manar am Iman School Campaign

These projects are having a major impact on the lives of those living in one of the world’s most diverse, colourful and disparate cities.

Katarina hung out at the under-pass of a highway to photograph the Hip Hop culture in a favela in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.

CUFA-Central Unica das Favelas is an oganization that was created by the forming of a union of the youth of the favelas. Hip Hop is one of the cornerstones of CUFA and two of its founders are rappers MV BIll and Nega Gizza.

offers a new perspective and new opportunities for the kids and through its many workshops, it has a incredibly wide reach which has now become internationally reknowned.

The teenagers at the center practice behind the scenes for the main 'Bradan" or breakdancing competition, where almost a hundred teams took part.

Neha Faddy, the new kid on our block

Our ever expanding production division has recently appointed a new Senior Producer. Neha, who is by no means new to the industry, has been working as an art buyer/producer for many many years, including a few with Saatchi & Saatchi Dubai before freelancing with some of Dubai’s most reputable advertising and branding agencies.

When asked what one quality a good producer must possess, Neha claims its the ability to stay organized and multi-task. No wonder the pint-sized producer, when not running off to shoots, manages a household of 4 lovely children, a hubby, 3 cats, and a dog!

Martin Beck shoots for Harper’s Bazaar India..

For their September issue, Harper’s Bazaar India flew in to Dubai to shoot with none other than our very own Martin Beck. The stunning model/actress Esha Gupta was also flown in for the shoot, which took place at the swanky Armani Hotel.

The model’s hair & makeup were done by Kat Sumners.
